Andrew + Lena {Portland, Maine Engagement Photography}

There are times in this job when you feel uncertain.  Uncertain of the future.  Uncertain that you'll make it.  Uncertain what next year will bring.  Sometimes it's sink or swim....and you gotta "swim, until you can't see land" as one of my favorite bands would say.  Swim until you can't see land...take a leap of faith.

Getting on a plane and flying across the country to photograph people you've never met is definitely a leap of faith, but when it works out like this shoot in Maine, magic happens.  I love this couple, more than words can say.  I felt like I'd known them forever after just a few short hours of hanging out together.  Trips like these are short, it's fly there, shoot, and fly back.  (Don't worry, I got to try some fresh Maine lobster first)  And their proposal story is incredible.

Lena has herself a catch.  Proposing to Lena took weeks of work and diligent planning to pull off.  Andrew actually made her a book.  A real book!  This man sewed and bound the pages of the story of their love and placed it under the Christmas tree...the last page reading "Will you marry me."  Talk about romantic!

I hope you enjoy their fun filled Old Orchard Beach engagement shoot.  Can't wait for their wedding next August!

(Thanks to A Practical Wedding for bringing us together)
