Vatican City

Oh, yesterday was an incredible day.  For years I have anticipated one day seeing these amazing works of art held in the Vatican City Museum. Being on a budget, I skipped going to the Louvre just to assure I could afford the Vatican.  There is just something magical about the Sistine chapel.  I could have stayed there all day, studying each part of it, imaging Michelangelo standing up and painting it for those 4 years.  Just amazing.

Approaching St. Peters Square

The details are just incredible.  My images don't come close to showing how wonderful it is.

For those of you in Atlanta... I for a split second though I really want King of Pops!

View from the Popes Chambers

So much history in this floor.

Map of Italy... like google maps, but better.

One of my favorite paintings.

So, you are not actually allowed to take photos inside the Sistine Chapel... but it was too beautiful.  I couldn't resist.  Here was my best effort.  The other one I found online to give you a better view.
