As this week draws to a close, I look back and feel excited about the images I've taken. I made it a goal at the beginning of the week to book a session or at least take a picture everyday, and I'm happy to say I met that goal. I not only met that goal, but I met some amazing people along the way. I got to know my neighbors, reconnected with old friends, and even had dinner with a teacher I admire.
Being a photographer and running your own business isn't easy. You have to network and put yourself out there everyday. You have to talk to everyone and convince them that you are awesome. You have to prove that in your pictures every time you pull out your camera. You literally have to be awesome all the time.
It can be discouraging, but you must keep pushing through. I've decided to make it a new goal to shoot every day for the rest of the month. Whether it be with clients or just myself, I am going to take a picture everyday. Why? Because it's November and I'm extremely thankful for the gift God has given to me.
